Georgia Tech Early Offense vs. Man Defense
#1 reverses the ball to #4 on top who passes to #3on the left wing area.
As the ball is reversed, #5 steps out a bit and setsa back screen for #2. #3 cuts across the low blockarea to the left low block. After screening, #5 stepsin the pain momentarily for the post up. This will beeffective if his defender had to help on #2 cutting tothe left low block.

#2 then cuts up and sets a back screen for #4. #4
cuts to the low left block looking for the entry passfrom #3.

#2 then steps out to receive the pass from #3.
Once #2 has the ball on top, #5 steps out and sets
a ball screen for #2. #2 and #5 execute a pick androll on top. #5 rolls to the basket.
As this is happening, #3 follows his pass on topwhile #4 steps out to replace the spot just vacatedby #3. This action clears the lane area for the pickand roll action from #2 and #5.

#1 enters to #2 on the right wing. #5 sets a backscreen for #3 as he cuts down the lane to the rightblock. Certainly #2 can look for #3 but is not reallyan option on this play.

and then comes back to the ball. #2 passes to #1while #5 steps out to set a ball screen for #1.

#5 rolls off the ball screen to the basket and is #1'sfirst option.

#1, after passing to #4, cuts down and back out tothe left wing area off of a downscreen from #3.
#5 slides over to the ballside freethrow line elbowarea.

Once #2 has the ball, he centers himself on the
dribble while #5 and #4 set a double screen for #3.
#3 has the option of going around the screen orbetween the two screeners. After #3 cuts betweenthe screeners, #4 and #5 would then close thedoor on #3's defender by moving together.
#2 passes to #3 on the right wing for the openshot.

This action might be effective if executed quicklyafter screening because of the potential "switching"or "hedging" of defenders that guarded the doublescreen action from #4 and #5.
