About Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan lies in the north of the central Asian republics and is bounded by Russia in the north, China in the east, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the south, and the Caspian Sea and part of Turkmenistan in the west. The indigenous Kazakhs were a nomadic Turkic people who belonged to several divisions of Kazakh hordes. They grouped together in settlements and lived in dome-shaped tents made of felt called yurts. Their tribes migrated seasonally to find pastures for their herds of sheep, horses, and goats. Although they had chiefs, the Kazakhs were rarely united as a single nation under one great leader. Their tribes fell under Mongol rule in the 13th century and they were dominated by Tartar khanates until the area was conquered by Russia in the 18th century.

The area became part of the Kirgiz Autonomous Republic formed by the Soviet authorities in 1920, and in 1925 this entity’s name was changed to the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Kazakh ASSR). After 1927, the Soviet government began forcing the nomadic Kazakhs to settle on collective and state farms, and the Soviets continued the czarist policy of encouraging large numbers of Russians and other Slavs to settle in the

region.

followed by 4 years of MD. Between BS and MD, students need to appear for an exam called NMAT. ( National medical aptitude test). Students need to score over 40

percentile in this test to qualify for MD course. Generally, Indian students clear this exam as you need to score 40 percentile only. ( Hope you know the difference

between percentage and percentile). Also, you can take NMAT exam again ( it happens every 6 months) but still continue your course. But within 3 attempts, you need

to clear NMAT.So if you are confident of clearing this exam, go for Philippines. It is the best country to study barring this factor.

The following criteria must be met by the student in order to take admission in Bangladesh. • The student must not have a gap of more than 1 year after the completion of 12th class. • Minimum aggregate GPA in SSC / ‘O’ level or equivalent and HSC / ‘A’ level or equivalent examination : 8.00 • Minimum GPA either in SSC / ‘O’ level or in HSC / ‘A’ level or equivalent examination : 3.5 • Minimum GPA in Biology: 3.5 • For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in SSC/ ‘O’ level or equivalent exam, only top 5 subjects are considered for calculation of GPA. Therefore, GPA in ‘O’ level = (total marks obtained in top five subjects)/5.

• For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in HSC/ ‘A’ level or equivalent exam, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are considered for calculation of GPA. Qualifying Grade in each subject individually is “C”. Therefore, GPA in ‘A’ level = (total marks obtained in three subjects)/3.

HSC level implies 12th class and SSC level implies 10th class.
