Georgia's domestic energy production (1.3 Mtoe in 2015) comes mainly from hydro (0.7 Mtoe) and biofuels and waste (0.4 Mtoe)
Georgia relies on imports to cover most of its natural gas and oil consumption.

TOTAL FINAL CONSUMPTION20154.1 Mtoe
From 2000 to 2015, total final energy consumption in Georgia has been multiplied by 1.5.
The transport sector is the largest final consumer of energy in Georgia.
Households are the first consumers of natural gas.

Total Primary Energy Supply (TPES), 2015
4.6 Georgia used a total of 4.6. million tonnes of oil equivalent (Mtoe) in 2015.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION
This corresponds to an energy consumption of 1.25 toe per capita which
is enough to make 30 roundtrips by car between Tbilisi and Batumi (*).
