Purpose:
Students learn about the process of urbanization and the patterns of inequality that exist in urban area.
Overview
You will assume the role of exchange students attending a university in Mexico City. You “travel” to neighborhoods to survey people from different social classes about their experiences living in Mexico City and draw conclusions from the survey.
Assessment
Writing for Understanding: These neighborhood visits will prepare students to write an article for their school’s newspaper at the end of the exchange program.
