stored in structured databases includingsite, borehole, groundwater, well designand sample data. Additional informationcan encompass chemical analyses, corephotos, geophysical tests, as well asgeostructural & stratigraphic information.Fugro works closely with clients to ensurethat the most appropriate data model isused to meet their data managementchallenges.
STANDARDS& FORMATSGeODin supports many national andinternational geological and geotechnicaldata exchange formats and standards.Data is stored in leading commercialdatabases such as Oracle, MicrosoftAccess / SQL-Server, as well as opensource alternatives PostgreSQL andMySQL. International standards includeAGS, ASTM, BS 5930, EN ISO 22475,CoalLog, GOST and NEN. GeODinincludes an embedded GIS, interfaceswith ArcGIS and QGIS and integrateswith modelling software such as Surpac,MineScape and Leapfrog.

INFORMATION SYSTEMGeoinformation stored in a GeODin data-base, can be displayed on the internet asa web portal. This enables users withouta GeODin licence to navigate betweenmaps, borehole profiles, measurementgraphics and reports in their web browser.
The IT infrastructure including webservers can be hosted by Fugro as part ofthe worldwide company network. Thisallows web access by external clients andfrom within Fugro; security is provided bya firewall and authenticated access.
On the website a traffic light system canbe used to observe specified keyparameters, measure work progress andperform status classification. Automaticfield to web data transmission can beimplemented as requested by the client.
TECHNICAL DETAILSThe recommended system requirementsfor GeODin are PCs running Windows 10(32- and 64-bit) with 4 GB RAM and adisplay resolution of 1920 x 1080 px.GeODin may also be run from a Windows2012 Server or Citrix. Previous Windowsoperating systems and RAM configura-tions may work, but these are not sup-ported. When working with client/serverdatabases the appropriate databasedrivers must also be installed. Pleasecontact your network administrator forfurther information.
GeODin can be used as a stand-aloneprogram or integrated in a multi-usernetwork. Integrated contextual help isprovided in English and German.
