The following documentation of sketches spans my 2011 spring semester & captures significant pieces of art & architecture that I saw during my travels around Italy & Europe. I chose to use INK on paper as the Principle media to represent architectural elements of my environment.

On our first trip as a Class, we toured Tuscany & then traveled south to Rome. The subjects of these sketches span from Ancient to modern times & come mostly from Rome & Florence.

On our final class trip from March 26th to April 3rd, we traveled from Vienna, Austria down through northern Italy via Venice, Vicenza, & Verona. My sketches here capture some of the aspects of Venice that make it so unique as well as architecture from ancient to modern times.
