The GENI-Flex Modular Solution is a heavy duty yet gentle sorter, with a proven ability to handle the most extensive range of irregular and oversize product in the industry. Optimized for packages of up to 175 pounds and 9 feet in length, the GENI-Flex can sort all manner of atypical parcels, including five-gallon buckets, tires, and carpet rolls. The system features an innovative, self-contained pop-up divert module and offers multiple pre-engineered takeaway options to suit your sorting requirements. The powered 90-degree takeaway module minimizes manual labor by diverting oversize packages directly to the shipping center’s dock doors. A more energy-efficient option, the gravity 90-degree takeaway module, can divert packages without consuming electricity. The GENI-Flex Modular Solution ships pre-wired and pre-assembled, with module guarding and product guides. This standardized design enables integrators to rapidly deploy and commission systems with minimal factory support. The modularity of the GENI-Flex system was designed to be robust, ultra-low maintenance and easily reconfigured for future expansion — Allowing our partners the flexibility to quickly respond to the demands of operational growth.

The SOLI-3K Singulation Module is the latest addition to Fives’ industry-leading line of singulators. The SOLI-3K can singulate standard parcel flow at rates of up to 3, 000 parcels per hour. Though the SOLI-3K is small in size compared to our existing singulators, it has the potential to signifigantly enhance your facility’s operational performance.

With two high-friction belts, the GENI-Flex™ pop-up divert module raises to divert standard and oversized packages towards the system’s elected takeaway module. The divert belts remain lowered, to enable packages to pass over the divert and proceed along the main conveyor channel. Powered SEW rollers interspaced with the divert belts enable the new modular design to be self-contained without an externally driven powered roller and its child. Capitalize on the pre-engineered design by interspacing multiple pop-up divert modules to create the optimal solution for your facility’s needs.

The Center Drive Module is the standardized beating heart of our powered transfer module offering, and includes a 2 horsepower induction motor that is powerful enough to convey standard or oversized packages along a 24 ft. conveyor span. The SEW KT37T reducer featured in the center drive is interchangeable with the pop-up divert module’s reducer, enabling ease of maintenance.

The 12 ft. Transfer Module is a powered conveyor surface, featuring standardized beds, end tails, and center drives, which spans the distance between pop-up divert modules. This module is available to ship preassembled as one 12 ft. assembly, or as individual modules for installation. Insert additional 3 ft., 6 ft., and adjustable sliderbed modules to create transfer module lengths of up to 36 ft.

A Drive in a Box (DIB) houses the motor controller (VFD) required to support powered takeaway conveyor, one DIB is required per conveyor.

DRIVE IN A BOX (DIB)

The main control panel (MCP) is the electrical power distribution core of the GENI-Flex™ Modular Solution. A system featuring up to 8 pop-up divert modules can be supported by one MCP. The power required for systems with greater than eight pop-up divert modules can be supported using additional MCPs. A client’s upper level software provides information about package dimensions and destinations to a GENI-Flex™ Modular Solution system via the MCP.

Remote Control Panel One (RCP1) houses the GENI-Flex™ Modular Solution’s PLC, which controls operation of up to 8 pop-up divert modules. RCP1 also controls auto-configuration during installation and commissioning. Additional RCP1 modules can be deployed to support systems which exceed 8 diverts.

Remote Control Panel Two (RCP2) serves as an information relay, passing the logical decisions from RCP1 to the corresponding motors, drives, and sensors in each pop-up divert module’s functional logic grouping.
