Germline Gene TherapyAlteration of genome takes place in reproductive cell.
Alterations can be inherited if inserted into chromosomes.
Mostly done in animals.

Somatic Cell Gene Therapy
Alteration of genome in other than sex cell.
Bad genes can be swapped for good ones.
Not inheritable.
Limited success rate.
