GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. Macomb Community College has recently discontinued the Nuclear Medicine Program from its curriculum and is selling a GE Millennium MG Camera with two Xeleris Workstations and associated equipment (list enclosed) that was used in the classroom setting.

B. All offers on the used equipment listed on equipment list must be received at the MCC Purchasing Department Office by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Bids can be emailed to zinkc@macomb.edu, faxed to 586-445-7366 or dropped off in person at the College’s Purchasing Department located at 16000 Hall Road, Suite 1A, Clinton Township, MI 48038.

C. A public opening of all bids is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the College’s Purchasing Office

D. A meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 to review items and to clarify any questions regarding the equipment. The meeting will be at the college’s Center Campus, 44575 Garfield Road, Clinton Township MI - R Building, room 167.

D. Macomb Community College reserves the right to accept or reject any part of, or complete purchase offer, and to waive any informality in any bid received. The College also reserves the right to sell to the highest bidder or split on a per item basis the offers received or to reject all bids.

E. Questions regarding this bid should be emailed to zinkc@macomb.edu (with a cc to Kevin McIntosh mcintoshk@macomb.edu) no later than 1p.m. Monday, August 19th. Questions will be compiled, answered and sent to all vendors.

F. Successful buyer(s) will be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation services and supervision necessary to remove the equipment from the College property within 15-days of acceptance of offer. All items sold “As Is”, “Where Is” basis.

G. Mutual arrangements will be made with the successful bidder(s) and the College’s maintenance personal to schedule a pre-move walk-through. Based on that meeting final arrangements will be made with the maintenance department for actual removal of the item(s).

All sales must be paid in full with a cashier’s check prior to removal of all items. Cash will also be accepted.

Biodex Anthropomorphic SPECT Phantom

The Anthropomorphic Torso Phantom is used for the evaluation of non-uniform attenuation and

scatter compensation methods. The phantom consists of a large, body-shaped cylinder with lung,

liver and spine inserts. The phantom simulates the anatomical structures of radioactivity

distributions for the upper torso of average to large male/female patients. Lung inserts can be

filled with Styrofoam® beads and water to simulate lung tissue density.

When used with the optional Cardiac Insert, cardiac ECT data acquisition and reconstruction

methods may also be evaluated.

This insert provides a multi-function simulation of the left ventricle, and can be used to evaluateSPECT imaging of cold defects within the "myocardium." Two solid acrylic sectors (45 and 60degrees) are supplied with the insert, each one cm thick and two cm long. These non-fillingdefects may be placed at various positions within the "ventricle wall", either anteriorly orposteriorly. The long axis of the "ventricle" is adjustable from 30 to 60 degrees from the long axis of the cylinder. Four fillable defects are also included.
