The availability of relevant site data allows for the proper consideration of the design requirements for port structure, and subsequently for the safe and efficient execution of the construction works. BMT JFA considers and assesses many factors with the potential to influence project requirements, including items such as land tenure, the location of pre-existing services, site access requirements, multi-user requirements and potential presence and implications of existing site contamination (i.e. environmental, unexploded ordnance, etc). Typically, BMT JFA provides overall project management services to the client, with the provision of specialist services undertaken by suitably qualified contractors (e.g. drillers, metocean data collection specialists) operating under BMT JFA’s overall direction. General Port and Harbour Engineering Site Investigations
