Tutors General Information on Tutors: The Student Success Centre often connects students with subject tutors for help understanding course material. Tutors set their own fees, and you will have to negotiate a contract on your own. It is a private arrangement between tutor and student, but we do make three requests: always meet your tutor in an academic building on the StFX campus (the library is ideal); remember that tutors are NOT in the business of doing your work for you or with you (that would be an academic integrity violation, by both of you); and please consider that the person you have already paid to teach you, your professor, waits in his or her office during specified hours every week, just to do what a tutor might do.
