General Description - All Actros Cabs

Design and ConstructionAll Actros cabs are specified in line with operationalrequirements. Each offering superb driver comfort and safetyalong with practical features designed to make life on board aspleasant as possible.

Cabs are constructed of steel and precision welded by robots.Critical areas are galvanised and box sections are filled with wax.This gives excellent protection against corrosion and offers highstandards of occupant safety. (Complies with ECE R29)

Cabs tilt to 70° to enable service access, either using themanual or electric pump (depending upon specification).

ComfortDriver comfort was one of the primary objectives when designingthe Actros cab. All seats and beds are designed to offerunrivalled support and comfort.

The lower bed features an internally sprung mattress and gives agenerous 710mm x 1950mm sleeping area.(Where fitted) The upper bed features unique adjustable springslats and gives a massive 800mm x 2020mm.

The driver’s seat is air suspended with a head restraint andarmrests. It is extensively adjustable and provides ideal supportand positioning for the driving controls.

The passenger’s seat features a lifting squab allowing eithercross cab access or additional space for storage or movement.

All of the materials used in the Actros cab have been speciallyselected to deliver a high-quality look and feel throughout thevehicles life.

Interior LightingInterior lighting is supplied by fully dimming lamps positionedaround the cab. These can be controlled by the door openingand will automatically turn off once moving. Green night-lightsare also fitted to give low level lighting during the night.

StorageThe storage areas in the Actros are both practical andaccessible. For smaller items there are deep pockets on eachdoor, recesses on the facia and above the windscreen, dualdrinks holders for driver and passenger are also integrated intothe facia.

For larger items, sleeper cabs feature two pull out drawers underthe lower bed including a removable waste bin. The top drawercan be optionally fitted with a fridge.

Day cabs have a multi-compartment storage box on the enginetunnel.

Sleeper cabs feature two large secure compartments for storageaccessible from inside and outside the cab. MegaSpace cabsalso have smaller external storage compartments.

AccessGetting in and out could not be easier. Doors open to 90° andtwo grab handles aid entry. The non-slip entrance steps areilluminated and arranged in a staircase for safety.

InstrumentsA quick glance at the anti-glare driver information screen givesall the information necessary for safe driving. More detailedinformation is obtained by scrolling through the informationpages using the function buttons on the steering wheel.

The two-man digital tachograph is situated above the screen.

The rev counter incorporates a moving green band to encouragean economic driving style.

Fuel gauge with integrated AdBlue indicator.

Protection & FinishActros cabs are painted in Arctic White as standard and can beordered in a range of solid or metallic colours.

Chassis and components are finished in Nova Grey whilst thewheels are painted silver.

Service AccessLifting the front grille gives access to top up the following fluids:ClutchScreen washCoolantEngine oil

Other RefinementsTwo electrically adjustable large rear view mirrors with switchedheating combined with long-range and kerb mirrors on thenearside ensure all round visibility. Also equipped with front view mirror.

Two full width sun visors at the front and fold down visor ondriver’s side, external tinted sun visor and all round tinted glass.

Programmable night heater integrated into main heating vents.

Coat hooks.

Three point seat belts.

12 volt socket on dashboard.

Electric windows for driver and passenger - operated fromdoor panel.
