DOK is a scale of cognitive demand, not based on the “verb”. (questions are multi-step problems)

Test takers are expected to analyze arguments, use text for evidence and use of reasoning skills

Test-takers are allowed to use scratch paper.

A Spanish language version of the test is currently available.

Test-takers will be given a small dry-erase board with Expo markers.

GED® tests are scored by computer- Multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and

technology-enhanced items are scored immediately within the test-driver

- Constructed response items (short answer and extended response items) are scored by an Automated Intelligence scoring engine, trained to replicate human scoring, returning official responses within 3 hours of test completion
