The helicopter sounds could have either been field recorded or created by a Foley artist. The music in the background could have also been field recorded or it may have been created using a MIDI instrument with the correct software. I believe that the explosions would have been created by a Foley artist due to how crisp they sound and field recording an explosion is quite difficult to do. Setting Right at the start we hear multiple helicopters flying closer and closer as they begin to get louder and louder. During this intense guitar music begins in the background, next the helicopters land and people begin to run up towards them. Just after we hear people get out of the helicopter with the sound of chains rattling suggesting that they are prisoners. After we start to hear explosions that are a distance away from the scene happening. We then hear lots of people walking with the chain rattling still present. Then we hear ambient sound, echoed footsteps and papers being thrown around. Finally we hear more echoed footsteps and the sound of the chains being taken off.

The footsteps, the chains and the papers being thrown could either have been created by a Foley artist or field recorded. Finally the echoed footsteps would have been a manipulation of the original.

Mood The music at the beginning suggests that the mood is quite tense but also gets the player pumped up for what is about to happen. The explosions signify that the mood has now become aggressive and will be more violent. The chains rattling represent the feeling of being trapped, weak and helpless. The papers being thrown about suggest that the person doing it is frustrated, angry or maybe even in a hurry.

I have already spoke and given my thoughts on how all of these sounds were recorded.

Game genre From the sounds that we hear (Helicopters, chains, explosions) we can assume that the game is going to based around war and shooting just from the opening 2 minutes of the game.

I have mentioned my opinions on how these sounds were recorded/produced.

Narrative During the dialogue we learn about the main character and that he used to be a well-respected man in the army but has become like a war monger.

The dialogue would have been studio recorded in the correct conditions and every character may have had to do their lines repeatedly and then they would choose which one sounded the best
