CMG Geardrive C-frame geared motors29 to 115 Watts, up to 34 NmThis is the short form catalogue for the CMG range of Geardrive geared motors.

The Geardrive range is a rugged and reliably finished product suitable for light duty applications. After assembly all Geardrive geared motors are test run.

Geardrive gearboxThe Australian made Geardrive gearbox range is ideally suited for applications requiring low speed where high torque is not required. The housings are manufactured from die-cast zinc alloy with horizontal mounting feet and flange mounting designs as standard.

All gears are manufactured in our factory in Australia and are case hardened for longer life.

Standard units are ideal for applications like display tables, rotating signs, and rotisseries, with larger output gear versions for BBQ spits.

C-frame motorStandard motors are 1 phase, 240 volt, 50 Hz. Motors are manufactured with F class insulation, with windings designed to limit the temperature rise to 80K. C-frame motors are manufactured from high quality electrical steel.

Brake motorsAn electromagnetic cam brake is available for all Geardrive units. The brake, designed for stopping not holding, stops the motor shaft within one revolution.

Brakes are only available on units that are to be run in one direction.

The brakes do not have any parts that wear, such as linings and relays, and therefore provide trouble free running without the need for maintenance.

For applications that require additional cooling, motor cooling fans can also be used with the brake assembly.

Product code specificationWhen placing an order the gearbox product code and motor length should be specified. The product code of the finished unit is composed in accordance with the following example.
