With the custom fit option, 4mm panels can be

seamlessly applied to the exterior of your GE

refrigerator, resulting in a harmonious blend with your

your kleenmaid appliance selection, stainless steel

pole handles or door wraps can be applied to selected

The GE integrated fridge provides you with outstanding flexibility to

custom panel in a variety of material finishes including timber, stainless

steel and glass, to synthesise with your appliances and cabinetry. Ask your

kleenmaid consultant about how you can achieve an integrated look with

your appliance selection.


34 Ice and Water

Water supplyThe most ideal location for the water supply is in a cupboard adjacent to your

fridge. This removes the need to move the appliance when access to water

supply controls is required. General recommendation is it should be as close

as possible, however lines can be run further if required.

There is no maximum distance between your fridge and the location of the

water supply tap – it can be as far away as necessary however we do not

recommend joining plastic tubing as tubing can deteriorate over time and

there would be more risk of water leaks.

5 metres of tubing is supplied in each Water Filter/line kit. GE recommend

approximately �.4 metres be coiled at the rear of the fridge to allow for

movement of fridge with the remaining �.6 metres to reach water supply.

Extra tubing is available through your kleenmaid store (WF00�) in 6 metre

lengths. Alternatively speak with your local plumber.

Water installationThe space required for water connection is included in the rear ‘air

clearance’ measurement when calculating installation depth. This

measurement does not include space for the external water filter which

should be hung on the wall in the cavity above the rear of the refrigerator.

Installation of the GE dispensing fridge is free to customers providing there is

an existing ½” water tap, and 10amp power connection. We recommend the

power supply also be positioned above the height of the fridge. The cavity for

the refrigerator needs to be completed prior to the installation.

Changing filtersGE refrigerator models with internal filters have an indicator

light on the dispenser panel which will illuminate when it is time

to change your filter. Models with external filters require you to

monitor the time to change yourself.

Fridges with internal water filters require you to simply unscrew

the used filter and insert a new one. These filters will generally

last up to 6 months depending on the water quality in your area

- Replacement code - MWF. For hard water areas, we recommend

an external filter.

External filters have a longer lifespan - generally up to 1� months,

again depending on water quality and usage. For fridges with

external filters, kleenmaid are able to provide a filter service if

required which includes filter changeover and basic fridge service.
