Next Board of Directors Meeting: Thursday, December 4th at Double Tree Hotel ,Palm Beach Gardens, 6:30 pm
Hello Gators, Where does the time go? Here it is December. This year has flown by and we have had some exciting Gator activities. The winners of the Happy Hour Halloween Cos-tume contest were: Best Couple - Antoinette Adams and Jeff Saxton dressed as big, sexy pirates; Best Lady - Barbara Lioi with a dash-ing Marilyn Monroe costume; and Most Crea-tive – Gina, a new member who put together her own pirate outfit. We had some really great costumes: Laverne & Shirley, Samba dancer, cowgirl, angels, spider web, Dutch couple, witches and so many more. Thank you all for coming in costume and making Halloween an exciting fun evening. River Ranch was a huge success. Sharon Long did an amazing job putting this event together for all of us. I had never been there and didn’t realize what a fun filled week-end it was. Besides being a beautiful place, River Ranch has everything you could imag-ine to do. Some played golf – it was an inter-esting 9-hole course, lots of fun. I heard sto-ries of those that did horseback riding, ar-chery, skeet and trap shooting. They all had a blast. Everyone was talking about what they did and enjoyed it all. Tedd Reed cooked us all lunch at the campground. It was so good. Thank you, Tedd. Manny Sarria, Gina Drayton and I went zip lining. Of course it was a zip line for
toddlers but we screamed all the way down. The good news is now we are ready for the adult size! LoL! The Rodeo was the highlight of the evening. Towards the end it decided to rain but it didn’t stop the Gators from going to the Saloon to line dance. Sharon Long had par-ties at her cabin where we got to know some new Gators, eat and dance. As I said, it was simply a fabulous fun-filled weekend. Another BIG thank you to Sharon Long, Walter Marussich, Estella Basso, and Betty Williams for all the work you did sharing your cabin for us to eat, drink and party. Our November general meeting was a great success with some new members joining and signing up to go skiing with us for the first time. Walter Marussich, our VP of Ski Trips, may be soft spoken but this guy gets the job done – and done right! Actions speak louder than words, and this guy is full of action. Wal-ter we can’t thank you enough for all the hard and time consuming work you do behind the scenes. Thank you! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and/or friends. It’s the time of year to be grateful. Now we all proba-bly want to shed our extra turkey pounds so we can eat more later. That’s just life! Enjoy it all. We want you all to join the Gator Holiday Party on December 3rd. Check it out and sign up now! Thank you all for being Gators and making your club more enjoyable. Thank You All, Evie Houston President

Taos, New Mexico is the spotlight destination. We have not visited this destination in several years and it is high time we reacquaint ourselves with the very hospitable Snakedance Inn. This trip has a Learn to Ski Week option for only $130, but it also has a high appeal to skiers of all abilities. This trip has been a late bloomer for us, but it is starting to pick up momentum. Please join Patti Bochniak at this fabulous re-
sort.
It is not a good idea for you to try to negotiate additional discounts on your own. Please help us maintain our reputa-tion and goodwill with the industry vendors and reps so that we can continue to obtain excellent prices. Please be cour-teous and considerate to your fellow travelers, trip leaders
and resort personnel.

Dear Gators,
It is December and we are ready to ski!!
If you did not sign up to go to Steamboat Springs with Gail Paglialun-go, you missed the opportunity for a prolonged ski season. Gail leaves on Saturday December 6th and it will be over a month before our next trip departs. So while we are pulling weeds out of yards, or cleaning cat hairs out of our furniture, we will not wonder how good
the snow is or how great a party this groups is going to have.
As we start this month, there is some more important news to share. The opportunity to sign up for a bargain trip to Winter Park, Colorado will close soon. The trip was priced to sell for under $1,000 dollars including air and lift tickets or $662 as a ground package. We were not successful promoting this trip and it will probably come off the docket unless we find 8 more participants in the next week. This is a trip a number of you requested, and I am glad we were able to offer it. Unfortunately, we do not have a crystal ball; some of you will not decide to join us at one of our superb destinations until later this year
and we may have to regretfully inform you that the trip is closed.
Next, I must remind you that for most of our trip, we are now beyond air and lodging deadlines. At this point, cancelling a trip will incur additional cancellation penalties beyond our control. However, for some trips, we will continue to sell spots albeit with a different price structure. Please check with your trip leader. Banff/Lake Louise, Vail and Telluride are totally closed. We cannot get any more of any-
thing on those trips.
Why do you love Skiing?
We have returned any unused reservations for the Zell Am See trip. We have just had two spots open up for the marvelous Taos trip at the original price. Please check with trip leader Bill Lobb on Zell Am
See. We can always add travelers, but we cannot guarantee price.
Among the good news, the spring break trip to South Lake Tahoe / Heavenly is still selling well. Surprise, surprise, at a price of $1,699, how could it possibly not sell? Please join Ray Collie, the trip leader
for our March 14, 2015 Lake Tahoe trip.
I have asked three of our trip leaders to refund moneys for people on their wait lists. If you waited too long to sign up, you are facing a very certain wait on the “wait list of eternity plus one day“. At this
time, I would suggest that you find another equally desirable trip
Log in to our website and secure your spots on the other rosters. Our Club policy, “First to pay - First to get on”, is in full effect. The
quickest way to get on is to pay via the website!
