Kaplan Group Negotiation Results Client #3563 first engaged The Kaplan Group in 2012. They had never used a collection service before as they only recently started generating SaaS revenue. Since that time, they have referred 10 customer accounts to our firm after completing their internal collections process. The accounts were typically 3 to 6 months past due. One of the customers had ceased operating. Another had a valid dispute which Client #3563 executive management was not aware of until The Kaplan Group investigated and reported. We negotiated a resolution on each of the remaining 8 viable accounts for a 100% success rate. We have collected over $193,000 in lost revenue, which represents a 77% recovery. Some accounts are still on payment plans so the final recovery will be even higher. Client #3563’s expectations were exceeded. They felt many claims sent to our firm were lost causes. In addition, The Kaplan Group was able to get two customers to pay and then reengage Client #3563 for additional services. Accounts Resolved The Kaplan Group resolved 100% of the viable claims. Most started paying within 60 days of placement. The average balance of the 10 accounts placed was $31,000. One customer presented a valid dispute and another was no longer in business. Our firm resolved all of the remaining 8 claims. We even got two accounts to renew their contracts with Client #3563.
Revenue Recovered The Kaplan Group recovered $193,000 in lost revenue since 2012 out of $255,000 in viable claims, representing a 77% recovery rate with two payment plans still active. Payment plans were needed for 75% of the claims while 25% were paid in full within 60 days. The two uncollectable claims totaled $62,000 in past due invoices.
