Games Walk Performance Festival Fri 27th July - Sun 12th August Games Walk Performance Festival Information The Games Walk Performance Festival has been created by The Firestation Centre for Arts and Culture in order to open our stages, giving local, emerging and aspiring performers the chance to get experience of performing to an audience with our full support. We’ve been given the Inspire Mark by London 2012 in recognition of our work and to celebrate the Olympic spirit and our support of current and emerging artistic talent in the South East. The festival also has a sister project, The Games Walk Arts Trail which is a series of interactive art installations that have been created on the bridges along the banks of the River Thames. If you take the Thames Path National Trail from Eton to Dorney you will discover some of the work created by artists and the local community. The works range from engraved poetry written by local children to an audio installation detailing the lesser known history of the area. We even have a very special geocache located at a mural project. The trail is designed to get residents back to using the beautiful river on our door steps. The works are permanent, and will be developing long after the Games.
