OSU will serve as the No. 9 seed and face the No. 8 Zags on Friday, March 21, at 3:40 pm CT (1:40 pm PT). The game will be televised on TNT , with Andrew Catalon handling the play-by-play duties, Mike Gminski providing expert analysis and Otis Livingston serving as the sideline reporter. The Cowboys last met Gonzaga last season, when the Bulldogs handed OSU a 69-68 loss inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Gonzaga is 5-0 all-time vs OSU. About Oklahoma State (21-12, 8-10 Big 12) Oklahoma State is 21-12 overall this season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championship. However, the Cowboys lost to top-seeded Kansas 77-70 in overtime. OSU is averaging 80.3 points per game this season with four players averaging at least 13 ppg. Marcus Smart leads the scoring attack with 17.8 ppg, among the leaders in the Big 12 Conference. Markel Brown is also among the league’s top scorers, averaging 17.1 ppg, while Le’Bryan Nash (14.2 ppg) and Phil Forte (13.3 ppg) are both ranked among the league’s top 20. OSU is shooting 46.5% from the floor, including 36.8% from beyond the arc. About Gonzaga (28-6, 15-3 WCC) Gonzaga is 28-6 overall this season and finished 15-3 in West Coast Conference play. The Bulldogs won the WCC T ournament title as well with a 75-64 win over BYU. The Zags are led by forward Sam Dow er, who leads the team in scoring (15.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.1 rpg). Guards Kevin Pangos (14.1 ppg) and Gary Bell (11.2 ppg), along with center Przemek Karnowski (10.2 ppg) are all averaging in double figures. David Stockton leads the team with 4.2 assists per contest. As a team, Gonzaga is averaging 76.9 ppg while allo wing 65 ppg. The Bulldogs are shooting 49.8% from the floor, including 39.4% from long range. They have a +11.9 scoring margin and a +3.1 rebounding margin.
