HOW TO APPLY Please submit résumé, cover letter, and answers to the questions above to: Kyle Reh, Director of Business Operations ([email protected]) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Represent the organization at approximately 50 to 70 Bats home games throughout the season Primary aspects of game night operations include: box office ticket sales, event setup, customer service, kids club, speed pitch, group catering assistance, distribution of giveaway items and sponsor materials Secondary aspects of game night operations include: grounds crew & fireworks assistance, on-field promotions, and other duties deemed necessary by the organization Individuals will rotate between responsibilities listed above on a nightly basis, working closely with full-time Bats front office personnel and other interns Due to the schedule of mostly night games, this position is ideal for someone also attending school or working an additional job during the season APPLICATION QUESTIONS 1. If so, how many hours on the job are needed to meet your college’s requirements 3. Are you available to work on our busiest day of the year, Thunder Over Louisville, Saturday, April 13, 2019? 4. Are you available to work most games during the month of April? SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree OR working toward degree with an interest in a sports career Ability to work evenings, weekends & holidays Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff members, season ticket holders, group members, and other fans while maintaining a positive attitude Availability is strongly desired for Thunder Over Louisville (Saturday, April 13, 2019) & all April games COMPENSATION OPTIONS Internship may be used to fulfill class credit requirements or completed as a paid internship for individuals not seeking class credit Compensation will be paid in accordance with Kentucky State hourly minimum wage guidelines or commensurate with experience Upon completion of class credit, internship may be extended and transition to a paid internship by mutual agreement Housing is not provided for this internship Start Date: April 11, 2019 (flexible based on availability) FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt / Class Credit Internship GAME NIGHT INTERN
