How do we deliver this program nationally recognised WHS program interactively via computer or device?• You’ll get 5 days of live facilitator-led training and one-on-one sessions before and

after the live program.• Our program is delivered on the video conferencing platform Zoom and brings

participants together via computer or device to learn in real-time.• Our platform simulates face-to-face learning experiences such as interacting with

What are the prerequisites?While there are no educational prerequisites for this course, it is a program for people who work in in a leadership or supervisor capacity, regardless of which industry. English language proficiency and literacy skills are needed to complete the course in the required time frame. The program also requires competency in using a computer or tablet devices for research.A good level of numeracy is necessary to complete the learning and assessment activities in this program.Please let us know when you enrol if we can support you. Is taking this program interactively as good as face-to-face learning?Using the cloud-based interactive platform Zoom, you can gain your BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with a live facilitator, in real-time, with a group of other participants, via computer from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and a device with a microphone and camera. I’ve tried doing my Cert IV ‘online’ before – is this the same?We don’t offer pre-recorded online programs or self-paced programs where you receive the materials and work it out for yourself. That’s not an effective way to learn and it’s not how we work. Workplace Dimensions are experts in live training. Our program simulates real face-to-face training, with expert facilitators, peers and all the activities, discovery learning and discussions you’d experience if you were working in a training room together. We offer the same experience of our face-to-face programs, delivered via computer. You’ll even get morning, afternoon, and lunch breaks – though, you’ll have to supply your own muffins and coffee! How about workbooks, materials and assessments?We can still supply workbooks, handouts and assessments via post to your home or worplace We look after logistics in the same meticulous way we do with our face-to-face programs. What technical set up do I need?The Zoom software only requires an internet connection and works cross-platform on all PC and Mac desktop computers, devices and smartphones that have a camera and microphone, which most devices already have.

The Zoom software platform is free for you to use and is available either in-browser (through Chrome, Firefox etc.), as a downloadable app for computers and devices, or can be integrated into your company intranet.Zoom also encrypts all content at the application layer using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm, so the contents of your training are secure.

What if I am not used to using technology this way?We have technical help resources to seamlessly support you if you are not familiar with working with this form of technology. We’ll contact you a few days before the program starts and fully set you up so you’re confident with using Zoom before the program starts.Don’t have a computer or tablet? The live interactive learning component of this program is delivered over 5 days, plus coaching before and after the program ends.

Industry funding may be available for this program.

Learners will begin their assessments in the live program. Those with extensive experience in WHS may be able to complete their assessments during the program, although course pre-preparation and some after-hours work may be required. If you need further help and more time to complete your assessments, you can submit after the live learning sessions are complete and you’ll have access to a coach to support you.Workplace Dimensions is committed to supporting you during and after the interactive learning sessions, to make sure you succeed in gaining the competencies you need to get your qualification.

Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ)• You work ‘on the tools’ or in a clerical, administrative or

professional role within the building and construction industry.

• You are a 3rd or 4th-year Apprentice, or 1st year out.• Unemployed? If you’ve been unemployed for up to 4

years, but were previously working ‘on the tools’ or in a clerical, administrative or professional role in the Queensland building and construction-related industries listed here, then you are eligible.

• You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, refugee or humanitarian visa holder.

• For a subsidised place through Workplace Dimensions, you will need to be a resident of Central, Far North, Gold Coast, Greater Brisbane, Northern, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay. Even though this is delivered via technology, we have a contractual obligation with CSQ to deliver training in certain locations in Queensland only.

CSQ will subsidise this program at no cost to eligible participants.

ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority (TFA)• The ACT Building and Construction Industry Training

Fund Authority (TFA) is the statutory body responsible for providing funding for the training of eligible workers in the ACT Building and Construction Industry. Workplace Dimensions has been granted funding to offer subsidised places in our Certificate IV program to eligible workers in the ACT building and construction industry.

The TFA will subsidise this program by $1200, making your cost $645 if you are eligible for the subsidy.
