Bhí oíche den scoth san Amharclann Opera ar an 7ú Márta.A fantastic
nights entertainment was held by all at the Cork
Opera House when Rang Nell and the choir took to the stage with a magnificent memorable night of Song
and Dance.
“Is liomsa na Camáin” – Dráma Nua Scríofa.
“Is liomsa na Camáín”, Dráma Nua Scríofa le Malachaí Mac Amblaoibh á léiriú aige lena Rang- Rang 4. 4th Class children have had tremendous success with the newly written play by their teacher Malachaí Mac Amhlaoibh. It tells the story of the 1916 Rising. To date
it has won 5 awards at Coirm Gael Linn and at the Munster school Drama Festival. It will represent the school at the All Ireland Drama
Festival in Mullingar in April and at Féile na Bealtaine in Dingle. We are very proud of their efforts.

Comhghairdeas le Rang Jane : Congratulations to Jane,
Hazel Murray & the children in 4th class. They have won
"Belt Up Safely" a competition jointly run by the
RSA and Bus Eireann. The prize - a trip to Tayto Theme
Park with Bus Eireanntransporting the children - all
for free.... yipee !

Múinteoir Fhionnuala
Tá ag éirí go hiontach leis an gClubRíomhaireachta. We are having great fun in
the computer class learning about coding using Scratch and creating our own animated
stories.

Junior Entrepreneur Award –
• Rang 6 – Rang Shíle: ComhghairdeasRang 6! Dhein Rang 6 sár-iarracht imbliana leis an gClár an Fhiontraí
Shóisearaigh. Bhí orthu 7 gcéim a chomhlíonadh; Fiontraíocht, Lá nanDragún, Cuairteoir Gnó, Taighde, Dearadh, Margaíocht, Taispeántas. Bhí smaointe iontach acu - cupáin le seanfhocail na nGaeilge a bhí lán le milseáin agus lámhdhéanta le grá.
• Congratulations Rang 6!
• Rang 6 worked extremely hard this year to achieve the Junior
Entrepreneur Award. They had to complete seven steps ; investigating entrepreneurship, Dragons' Den, A Business Visitor to the classroom,
Research, Product Design, Marketing and Launch Day. The class sold cups with Irish seanfhocail, filled with
homemade sweets.
• Míle Buochas le Múinteoir Shíle!
• They used a variety of skills such as marketing, accounting, mathematics,
technology and design. Last Friday, we had a launch day and all 115 cups were
sold out. We wish to thank all the parents who helped us throughout our
project. There will be an awards ceremony in the Silver Springs hotel at
the end of the school year where we will be presented with our JEP flag

A great night was had by parents and teachers in Vienna Woods @ the Céilí on 10th March. Sincere thanks to Mary Lucey and the talented dancers from the Rhythmic Feet Troup whose performance was the highlight of the night

Bhí leanaí ó Rang Jane agus Rang Mhalachaí ag an Glucksmann le déanaíag seoladh “Once upon a place" - Beidh obair na leanaí ar taispeáint annan rinneadar ann roimh na Nollag. Bhuail an ceathrar leis an t-údar Eoin
Colfer ann, bhí an-lá acu. On March 10th, Eoin Culfor Lauereate na nÓg, gave a private reading in the
Glucksman to Cork schools and community groups who created artworks that reflect their own sense of place. The gallery will also be showcasing a
selection of artworks from school groups.
