A Letter of ThanksDear Friends of United Way,

Thanks to your investment, the United Way has impacted nearly 40,000 lives in Dubuque and the Tri-States and that, friends, is cause for celebration!

Whatever the reason you have chosen to support United Way, in whatever capacity, whether it be through GIVING, ADVOCATING, or VOLUNTEERING, we thank you for accepting our challenge to join a team of us committed to making a local impact.

Change is inevitable. Your United Way has transformed over the past 90 years to the strong organization it is today. You understand how important it is to provide annual support to give our friends and neighbors access to quality education, healthcare and a livable income.

While we are grateful, we also recognize we must continue to evolve to engage, inspire and motivate many others to join us in taking action to address some of our community’s most pressing issues, and to do that WE NEED YOU. Like the community we serve, United Way faces challenges and requires additional support to maintain our community-wide progress. We need STRONG business partnerships, VOCAL community leaders, and an INVESTED community to continue to impact nearly 40,000 LOCAL LIVES each year.

United Way addresses community-wide issues around health, education, and income, that no one agency can solve alone. We work to IDENTIFY what our community needs, to INVEST resources of time and energy where it will have the most impact, and to have expectations of RESULTS that matter. We serve as a bridge between nonprofit needs and business sector support, to improve our community by creating solutions that impact lives.

Through your investment, you are helping feed the hungry, house the homeless, provide safety for those who need it and offer structured support and strong relationships to our area youth, and so much more.

Every bit of support helps impact a life. United We Rock!

Sincerely,

Wendy Runde Danielle Peterson, VP/General Manager, Diamond Jo President/CEOUnited Way, Board Chair United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States
