Twenty (20) family engagement activities are planned each year to promote par-

ent involvement, which is critical to success not just in school but in life as well.

On the evening of Tuesday April 12th, Main Street hosted 165 children and parents

for Family STEAM Night, a celebration of our children's interests in science, tech-

nology, engineering, art and math. In the Dolphins classroom, children were chal-

lenged to create a balancing tower using popsicle sticks, plastic cups and blocks

schoolcurriculum.

The “Eagles” School Age Child Care (SACC) program servesover20

DanielsRunstudentsinbefore–school,after-schoolandsummerprograms.

The follow-through and relationship continuity that the program provides are

vital to at-risk children’s success. In FY16, the Eagles took on a service pro-

ject to knit blankets for rescued cats; coordinated an ice cream social for

parents;andservedashostsforFamilySTEAMNight(seebelow).Students
