Future Fellowship Seminar
Eligibility:
• Candidates should be mid-career researchers with between 5 and 15 years research experience since the award of their PhD, and
• have been awarded a PhD on or between 1 March 1999 and 1 March 2009.
• Future Fellows are eligible for two DP in addition to the Future Fellowship (FT) – but no DORA.

Funding:
• 4 years of salary and project funding • A Future Fellowship may be requested at 1 of 3 salary
levels • Limit on project funding of $50K pa which may be used
for infrastructure, equipment, travel and relocation costs directly related to the Future Fellow’s research.

Host Organisations:
The Future Fellow must be working at the ANU for a minimum of 24 months.
Beyond that, they may conduct their research at other universities and even non-university organisations.
They may also be away on fieldwork.

Selection Criteria:
• 40% - Future Fellowship Candidate • 35% - Project Quality• 15% - Strategic Alignment• 10% - Collaboration / Outreach

Some changes from previous years (budgets):
• Salary levels have increased• The limit on (non-fieldwork) travel is now $100K• Publication and dissemination costs may now be included
as budget items• Web development and hosting may now be included

• The selection criteria make explicit reference to employment status following the Fellowship (4.3.1c)
• The 12-month limit on time spent at Host Organisations no longer is mixed up with fieldwork
• Requests not to Assess limited to three unless signed off by DVC
• Projects must comply with the ARC Open Access Policy
