FuseTek bits are the Fusion of two
technologies of Fixed Cutter bits
– DuraDiamond® DiamondImpregnated Drill Bits
• Diamond Impregnated Mix
• Designed for hard rockapplications
• Durable, abrasion resistant
– PDC Drill Bits

FuseTek overlaps the PDCand Impreg territory where:
• PDC bits are not durable
enough.• Impreg bits are not fastenough.

Challenge:For applications thatare normally drilledwith a PDC bit, buthave harsh interbededlithologies with higher compressive strength.Damage to PDCcutters by encounteringdense nodules.
Benefit of FuseTek:Dual –natured cutting
structure can drill fast ,with the built-ininsurance of cuttingstructure redundancy.
Challenge:Top and Middle of section are fast / PDCdrilling, with higher CCS lithology towardsend of section forcinga bit change, usuallywhere diamondimpregnated bits arenormally used.
Benefit of FuseTek:Diamond impregnated
material enables thebit to drill to TD after PDC has worn down, reducing the need totrip for a new bit.

The 18 ½" FT816 equipped with Helios™
Impact cutters went in at 4589 ft. drilling tototal depth of 5110 ft. in the Pauto Sur Field,Colombia.
– Achieved ROP and Interval drilled record inthe field of 6.04 ft/h and 521 ft respectively,
– Drilling the abrasive Mirador formation -Siltstone, mudstone, sandstone and sand.
The bit was run on a RSS assembly andaccomplished all directional requirements asplanned.
– After reaching TD the bit was POOH and
graded : 3-7-WT-A-X-I-RO/BT/LT/CT-PR – Replaced three roller cone bits
– Excellent Directional Response
– First choice for upcoming wells

The FuseTek 6” FT713 drilled the Efilskiy layer
consisting of sandstone, mudstone, limestoneand dolomites, replacing four RCI bits.
Ran in a mud motor (4/5 lobes, 6.0 stage, 0.3 bend)in WB mud. It drilled two vertical intervals from 3930to 3954m and from 3963 to 4034m in total 95 meters
at an average ROP of 1.02m/hr. – POOH between runs was due to coring point.
– Dull grade - 2-2-WT-A-X-I-CT-PR.
Results:
90% longer interval vs. best offset
26% faster average ROP vs. best interval
Replaced 4 RC bits used in offset well

The 8 ½” FT716 was run on a Baker Hughes AutoTrak modular motor assembly.
The well profile was a 20 degree tangent.
Interval: 12170 to 12990 feet (820 feet)
ROP : 20.2 fph. DTF
The average PDC bit run ranges from 90to 250 feet, with an average penetrationrate of 15 fph, depending on the
percentage of chert encountered. The bit drilled through very dense 80-90%
chert and was still drilling ahead when itwas pulled 170 feet from TD.

The objective was to drill the 8.5” vertical section of the Plover formation• Lithology: Hard abrasive sandstones
• Drive : Rotary
The bit achieved the fastest ROP in the field, plus significant cost savings by using
rotary instead of a turbine, finishing the section without issues.

For those harder, more abrasiveapplications where durability is aconcern. Consider a SpeedDrill bitwith Pilot Section. (patent pending)
Additional benefits provided by aFuseTek Pilot: – Increased durability without sacrificing
ROP
– Impreg material provides peace of mindin hard and inter-bedded applications
– Ability to drill longer intervals, reducescost/foot and NPT.
