Fundraising Goals and Objectives for the next 2 years: 1) Help fund the $108,000.00 Annual Budget With 143 Students, Summit Marching Band is one of the largest bands in the Williamson County School System and at only 8 years old, is still in many ways just getting off the ground. Marching band can be an expensive undertaking for families. Most of our participating Band Families cannot simply write an $800.00 check for their student to participate in band each year. Scholarships help students that may have a difficult time with the fees. 2) Our own Trailer! It is our goal this year to either receive the sponsorship funds to purchase or to be the recipient of a generous donation of a 53 foot Kentucky Low Boy Tractor Trailer (similar to these shown below) so that we will no longer have the expense of renting trucks every time we transport the band. We are 1 of the 2 high school bands that do not have a trailer of our own, within the Williamson County School System, the remaining High Schools in Williamson County all have their own trailers. We would love to find a corporation that may be looking to update its shipping truck fleet who would be willing to donate a trailer that they plan to retire. If you can assist us with making this dream a reality, please contact Laurie Kamunen as soon as possible at [email protected]. 3) Ability to receive or purchase much needed items off of our Wish List: In a band this size, that continues to grow each year, we need to be able to purchase additional instruments & music, pay for talented and dedicated instructors, purchase gear and equipment to haul and protect the instruments and upgrade supplies to take care of and support the students when traveling, etc. Donations of goods or funds to purchase necessities such as carts, tents, folding tables, a 4-wheeler and other much needed items would be hugely appreciated. Spartans Marching Band The Summit High School Marching Spartans is an audition only ensemble participating in performances at all football games (home and away), local and national competitions and parades. The Spartans Marching Band is comprised of 143 students (grades 8-12), the band director, assistant director and a crew of specialized instructors. Participation in the marching band teaches students discipline, work ethic, athletics, camaraderie, respect and helps to build tomorrow’s leaders. SHS Marching Spartans are under the direction of Erick Harris and Scott Atchley. I would like to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to read this sponsorship proposal. I understand that you probably receive many such requests throughout the year and that not every request can be met. However, it is our hope that you will see this as a tremendous opportunity, not only as fantastic advertisement for your business, but as a partnership with an organization whose main purpose is to provide quality music education for hundreds of Spring Hill teens. This partnership will provide you with the means to be seen in the eyes of the Spring Hill/Williamson County resident as a business that cares about its community by helping the administrators and marching band students be as successful as possible by providing them with the funds or equipment needed to compete effectively. I look forward to hearing from you and greatly hope that we will have the opportunity to work together on this and possibly other future events to benefit our incredible students. Fundraising Goals and Objectives for the next 2 years:

1) Help fund the $108,000.00 Annual Budget

With 143 Students, Summit Marching Band is one of the largest bands in the Williamson County School System and at only 8 years old, is still in many ways just getting off the ground. Marching band can be an expensive undertaking for families. Most of our participating Band Families cannot simply write an $800.00 check for their student to participate in band each year. Scholarships help students that may have

a difficult time with the fees.

3) Ability to receive or purchase much needed items off of our Wish List:

In a band this size, that continues to grow each year, we need to be able to purchase additional instruments & music, pay for talented and dedicated instructors, purchase gear and equipment to haul and protect the instruments and upgrade supplies to take care of and support the students when traveling, etc. Donations of goods or funds to purchase necessities such as carts, tents, folding tables, a 4-wheeler and other much needed items would be hugely appreciated.

Sponsorship & Support…….What’s in it for YOU?

Your support means a lot to us and your gift will go a long way in helping us sustain and grow our band programs. The Summit High School Marching Band program receives very little financial support from Williamson County Schools and all operational costs must be raised by the participating students through the support of the SHS Band Boosters Club and community organizations such as yours. Our fundraising relies upon businesses and individuals who show their

support for the Summit High School band program through financial sponsorship and the donation of goods & services.

As parents, family members and supporters of SHS Bands, we know the importance of community partnerships. We un-derstand how important it is to support the businesses and individuals who help make band musical experiences possible for our children. In addition to the pride you will experience as community leaders who encourage and support our young

people, your partnership with SHS Bands will provide meaningful benefits to you:

Put the community on notice that you are a supporter of the Spartan Marching Band and SHS Band programs

Create an awareness of your business/organization and drive traffic to your establishment and your website

Encourage the SHS families and friends to generate interest in your Social Media platforms to generate followers

and “likes”.
