Introduction:Main Text: Psalm 11:3 “If the foundations

be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

The foundation of every structure is crucial to its future.

Your understanding of the fundamentals of divine wealth determines your future as far as financial prosperity is concerned.

Matt. 7: 24 - 25Jesus said, “...Whosoever heareth these

sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Without a solid foundation, you will be building on the sand, which cannot stand the test of time.

You must build upon a sure foundation in order to enjoy lasting covenant prosperity.

In today’s message, I will be discussing some of the virtues required of you in order to enjoy lasting kingdom prosperity.

Page 5: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

Virtue 1: Give Willingly, Cheerfully & Tirelessly. It is not enough to give your tithes and

offerings in church or give to the poor.

For it to be acceptable to God, enough to produce a bountiful harvest for you, it must be given willingly.

If you obey the giving law, but do not give willingly, you stand to lose your harvest.

Is.1:19 “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

Page 6: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

Your giving must also be cheerfully offered for it to be acceptable.

2 Cor. 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

If your offering is not given willingly, then you can’t be cheerful giving it. And a lack of cheerfulness in giving can turn your blessing into a curse.

Deut. 28: 47 – 48 “Because thou servest not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.”

The 3rd thing here is that your giving must also be tireless.

In Gal. 6:9, Paul admonishes us to not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

He also talks about giving once and again in Philippians. (Phil. 4: 15-19).

The prayer in Vs 19 is in response to their tireless giving to Paul.

The Preacher advises on tireless giving in Eccl.11:6.

Virtue 2: Water Your Seed.Every farmer knows that despite having sown

his seed in the ground, he needs to water it to ensure a bountiful harvest.

Your giving must also be accompanied by watering before God can bring the increase.

How do you water your seed? This is done by the proper use of your mouth. The kinds of words you speak can either enhance your harvest or hamper it, the quality of your seed notwithstanding.

Prov. 18: 21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue..”

Prov. 13: 2 “A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth...”

Unfortunately, this is where many Christians miss it. They are very generous givers, but poor talkers.

The words we speak are seeds. When you constantly talk lack and want, that is what will be multiplied back to you.

Page 11: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

Your destiny is in your mouth, so speak right words to match the seeds you have sown.

The bible says “you shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you” – Job 22:28.

What do you expect from the seed you have sown? Say it! Keep saying it! Water your seeds with the right words.

Virtue 3: Service.Service must be put in place for your prosperity

to be unending.

Job 36: 11 “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.”

Prosperity answers to service.

Job became prosperous through the ladder of service. Even the devil acknowledged Job’s service unto the Lord. He said to God, “Doth Job serve thee for nought?”

Page 13: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

Even Satan knows that there is reward in serving God.

God will distinguish between those that serve Him and those that don’t.

In 2 Chr.26: 5, the Bible talks about King Uzziah, “..As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.”

Also, Ps. 34: 10 “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”

Your financial liberty is tied to your readiness to serve God.

In addition, service sets you free from all forms of slavery.

Until the children of Israel were ready to serve the Lord, God was not willing to set them free from their many centuries of slavery in Egypt.

Service is a key to unending riches, so take advantage of it.

Virtue 4: Integrity. To enjoy kingdom prosperity, you must also first

be free from every form of financial corruption.

Job was the richest man in the east in his days and the Bible described him as “perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil” – Job 1: 1.

God has not changed. If He required integrity to lift Job to that position, He will not require less from you.

Page 16: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

It is only men who live in the fear of God that end up being full of His blessings.

Ps. 112: 1-3 “Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments; His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed; Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.”

Page 17: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

Until the foundation of integrity is solidly put in place in your life, don’t expect to see the hand of God in your finances.

Note that divine wealth is not a function of your hard work or labour, smartness, crooked dealings or connections: it is the blessings of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow with it (Prov. 10: 22).

When you uphold financial integrity both in your dealings with God and fellow men, you are in your way to financial dignity.

Virtue 5: Avoid Waste.God hates waste. You need to guide against

waste if lasting prosperity is your desire.

After Jesus fed the 5,000 in the wilderness, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” – Jn. 6: 12.

Prov. 18:9 says concerning a waster: “He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.”

Page 19: Fundamentals of Kingdom Prosperity

That means whatever befalls a lazy person is what awaits a waster, no matter how hardworking he is.

A waster today will beg tomorrow, because God never prospers wasters.

According to Matt. 25:23, until you are prudent in managing the small God brings your way, you will never be made lord over many.
