q FB will act as a partner of research institutions and teams in the development of funded projects.

q It will require the definition of a funding and collaboration agreement which will contain theobligations of each party, a defined development plan, milestones, monitoring, contributions basedon project needs, the sharing of potential returns and the communication policy.

q FB in return for their financial contribution and support will receive a fair share of the revenuesgenerated by the commercialization of the results. These returns will be used to fund new scienceand technology projects.

q Investment policy§ The projects have the capability to generate results with applications in society.§ The results have commercial potential to generate returns regardless of their term.§ The projects are led by excellent scientists and scientific groups.§ Research teams must acknowledge the Foundation as a project partner that adds value beyondfunding itself.

§ The Foundation is open to other sources of funding.
