FUNCTIONAL FIT-GAP ANALYSIS PHASE ANALYSIS USER INITIATIVES CONCEPTUAL DESIGN DELIVERABLES This step encompasses the following activities to be completed by the project team and business area subject matter experts: Analyzing and testing the new and existing functionality, including on-line processes, batch processes, reporting and workflow. Reviewing existing Functional Requirements and testing those requirements in Financials 8.4. Reviewing open or unresolved PeopleSoft cases to determine if Financials 8.4 has fixed the issue. Various user-inclusive analysis and feedback Initiatives will be used. Each business process needs to be addressed in at least one initiative type: Full Conference Room Pilots Test Drives Mini CRP sessions Workgroups This step includes: Analysis of feedback from user initiatives, which feed into the option/decision process. Creation of a set of decisions, which are evaluated as a whole, leading to a comprehensive set of conceptual designs. Review of Conceptual Designs by business areas and end user groups. Approval of Conceptual designs by the Advisory Team(s), Sponsors, Executive Steering Committee and Executive Sponsors. The following deliverables will be produced during this phase: Fit/Gap List Issues List Decision Papers (with recommendations) To-Be process flows Data Maps Requirements statements Conceptual Design Detailed Phase II Estimate and Workplan Reconfirmed Integrated Project Estimate

Analyzing and testing the new and existing technical functionality, including security. Items to be reviewed include: Autosys, Spreadsheet Upload, Citrix (for development environment).

Reviewing open or unresolved PeopleSoft cases to determine if Financials 8.4 has fixed the issue.

Review of PeopleSoft’s web based environment

Review of fix application process changes

Analyzing and testing Hardware (DASD, Memory) to support web based environment.

Analysis of options for implementation of Archiving solution.

This step encompasses the following activities to be completed by the Operations, Application Infrastructure and Change Management teams:

Re-evaluation of user training methodology

Analysis of Desktop Support strategy

This step includes: Analysis of feedback from

analysis and user initiatives step, which feed into the option/decision process.

Creation of a set of decisions, which are evaluated as a whole, leading to a comprehensive set of Conceptual Designs

Review of the Conceptual Designs by the Operations, Application Infrastructure and Change Management groups (as appropriate).

Approval of the Conceptual Designs by the Advisory Team, Sponsors, Executive Steering Committee and Executive Sponsors.
