DEDICATION
We dedicate this study to every person that has been part of this project contributing
their resources and knowledge regarding this project. The researchers primarily dedicate this
study to our school, Botolan Community College. The researchers also offer this study to
their professors who persistently motivate them, so they can provide such system like this
that will hopefully make a big difference in the university.
To the family of the researchers who has been very supportive during the process, to
their love ones for inspiring them and continuously giving them reasons to have more
perseverance in finishing this project.
And above all, the researchers offer this project to God Almighty that always showers
them with his blessings.

Abstract
The study entitled “Botolan Community College Computerized Library
System” aimed to make the computerized Botolan Community College:
Computerized Library System that will benefit the users in his transaction.
The general objective of the study is to develop a computerized Library
system that will store the student’s records such as basic information, books record,
list of borrowers, returned books, borrowed books, and prescriptions of the librarian.
The researchers used descriptive research. It is a term used to describe many
types of survey research that are undertaken by marketing researchers to understand
customer perceptions, judgments, and intentions. Common types of descriptive
research studies include buyer-behavior studies, brand perception studies, customer
segmentation studies, customer satisfaction studies, lost-customer studies, advertising
evaluation studies, and employee attitude and satisfaction studies. We describe the
key considerations that guide the design of a descriptive study such as survey method
(e.g., phone versus mail versus email), cost, and data analysis technique. We also
provide a brief overview of key analyses that can be undertaken to gain insights from
survey research.
Analytical tools were used to aid the researchers in the development of the system
such as program input process output (Context Diagram), visual table of contents
(VTOC), input process Output (IPO).
Evaluation of the proposed system is done by distributing a standard questionnaire
to the respondents using the ISO/ IEC 9126 Performance and Evaluation Test.
iv
The Cost Benefits Analysis was used also to determine whether it is worthwhile to
invest the money in the proposed system or whether something else should be done
with it. Based on the findings, the researchers come up with the following
conclusions:
The researchers concluded that the Botolan Community College Library System is
efficient to use in the Botolan Community College Library based on the results of the
study. The computed average weighted mean is 4.20 and interpreted as Very Good.
As a whole, the proposed system and the existing system have a tremendous
distinction. The difference from the traditional to the proposed system is truly
beneficial to the library, librarian and student. The researchers concluded that the
study will opt an opportunity to improve the library service to the students and
faculty. Based on the results of the findings and conclusions gathered, the researchers
would like to recommend the following. The researchers recommend that the Library
consider the proposed Library system for them to increase the number of their student
or user. The researchers recommend the proposed system be implemented by the
librarian because it is more productive and more capable of recording data in library.
Future researchers should continue to improve the proposed system. Training must be
conducted before the actual operation of the developed system.
