Farm2School Lunch

Dear Parents and community members,

I am certain that Rippleside is one of the greatest elementary schools. On a daily basis, stu-dents greet me each morning as they enter the building. On a dai-ly basis, students say thank you to the cafeteria staff when they are handed their lunch trays. Each month, we are improving our data in reading and math. As I walk the halls, staff and stu-dents are smiling and enjoying life. I am grateful to be the prin-cipal of this building. Thank you, parents, for being understanding when situations are difficult or mistakes are made. I am certain about one more thing, we do make mistakes, but we learn to-gether through them. Continue to join with us to provide the best education possible for our stu-dents.

Daily Attendance Messenger-LIVE NOW

Communication is the key to

success and we want to make

sure we’re staying in constant

communication with parents.

Effective Monday, January 27th

a daily attendance messenger

will be sent to parents/

guardians if your student is

marked absent for the day. If

you had already communicated

with your student’s classroom

teacher that they will be absent

due to illness, vacation or exten-

uating circumstances you do not

need to take any further action

and should not receive a mes-

sage. If you have not notified any-

one of their absence you can ei-

ther call the Rippleside office,

connect with their classroom

teacher or send an email to the

Rippleside office at —

[email protected] to excuse

their absence.

If you do not use one of the meth-

ods mentioned above, we do ask

that you still send a hand written

note to the teacher.

Messages will come in three dif-

ferent methods: phone call, email

2

and text message every day

that your student is marked

absent.

Thank you for your contin-

ued involvement in your stu-

dent’s success at school.

Parent Parking

During the winter months, snow

piles can limit parking spots right

in front of the school and on the

side streets to Rippleside. We do

ask that you be cautious of where

you park during dismissal time.

Buses need to have enough room

to get up 3rd Street SW in a time-

ly order so they stay on time to

complete their route. If they have

to stop to wait for a car to move it

causes a delay in the route and we

need them to stay as close to time

as possible. The staff parking lot is

available for parents all through-

out the day. Thank you for your

assistance with this.

Children’s Dental Services will be at

Rippleside on March 26, 2020 dur-

ing Rippleside conferences from

9:00AM—5:00PM. They employ

Minnesota Dentists and Hygienists

to provide quality mobile dental care

clinics for children and adults up to

the age of 26, and to pregnant wom-

en of any age. Children’s Dental Ser-

vices accepts ALL forms of insur-

ance, and offers free and reduced

rates based upon income. To sched-

ule an appointment please call 612-

746-1530 or toll free at 866-543-

February is I Love to Read Month!

Every year at Rippleside we

take a week to celebrate Dr.

Seuss’s birthday. This year,

we’re changing things up just a

bit. Instead of having a week

long celebration, we will be cel-

ebrating the entire MONTH of

February! Classrooms will have

different school activities and

the entire school is invited to

participate in four special dress

up days! On top of those great

things, every Monday a riddle

will be sent home in your

child’s backpack from Mrs.

Mickelson where they can earn

a prize for having correct an-

swers. It’s no joke.

Wed. 2/5—World Read

Aloud Day (I Love to Read

Month kickoff)

The dress up days will be as

follows. *Please watch the dates

closely*

Fri. 2/7—Spy Day (dress up

as a spy on the look out for a

good book!

Thurs. 2/13—Red Day (show

your love of reading by dressing

in red!)

Fri. 2/21—Pajama Day (It is

our last week of activities, dress

comfy!)

Mon. 3/2—Dress as your Fa-

vorite Book Character AND it’s

Family Fun Night!

AITKIN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

This would be a good place to insert a short paragraph about your organization. It

might include the purpose of the organization, its mission, founding date, and a brief

history. You could also include a brief list of the types of products, services, or

programs your organization offers, the geographic area covered (for example, western

U.S. or European markets), and a profile of the types of customers or members served.

It would also be useful to include a contact name for readers who want more

information about the organization.
