We have had such a positive start to the final term of this school year. The children have come back focused and full of energy. If your child has lost/misplaced any items, please have a look through the lost property (outside our school library – Kaadadjiny Koornt).

P&C Colour Run

Your child should have brought home information about this exciting P&C event. Our P&C Colour Run will be

conducted on Friday November 5 after lunch. All the details on times and the course have been sent home. If

you have not received the information, there are some spare letters and information sheets in our front office.

On the day, those children who are attending can come to school in the clothes they will be wearing for the

event (clothes that can get dirty/colourful or white clothes). This will prevent the need for children to get

changed, which is very time consuming and difficult. Clothes and shoes worn for this event must be appropriate

and safe for school. The Kindy children that do not attend that day will have their own special colour run at 3

pm.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with setting up and/or running this event, please contact the P&C via

their email: [email protected]

School Development Day Friday 12 November

Have Sum Fun

This year CVPS entered 4 teams into the Mathematical Association of Western Australia (MAWA) ‘Have Sum Fun’ competition, focusing on Problem Solving skills. The competition involves an online maths quiz of problems for year-level teams of four students. CVPS entered teams from Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

Representing the Year 3s in 2021: Tiya, John, Kevin and Krish

Representing the Year 4s in 2021: Joy, Umar, Dylan and Japjot

Representing the Year 5s in 2021: Smit, Jasia, Cooper and Jeril

Representing the Year 6s in 2021: Emma, Marinanne, Agam and Aditya

The competition consists of three rounds of 10 questions, where teams have one hour to complete each round of questions. There is one round per week in Week 3, 4 and 5. Students are removed from class during this time and work with their team to undertake the questions. Students have access to a calculator. The winner will be the school team that takes the least time to complete all three rounds. We wish all of our teams the very best of luck!
