RADII SURVEYS
Recently you would have received a survey via email. These surveys are sent to our families every year.
Our Toowoomba Catholic Education Office sends these surveys to hear feedback about how their
school communities are operating and seek ways we can improve. Thanks for completing the survey.
Central Downs Athletics
Congratulations to all of our athletes who took part in the CD athletics carnivals. Well done to Noah
Gillam, Alister Harris, Liam Ruhle, Lily Rickert for achieving runner up in their age divisions. Sophie
Willett was awarded the U12 girls age champion which was a great achievement. We wish those stu-
dents who qualified all the best for the next stage of competition at Southern Downs.
Southern Downs Athletics
We will communicate the updates about the postponed Southern Downs Athletics events when we re-
ceive the details.
Assembly
Our assembly will be held at 2:30pm this Friday. We will hold our assembly at the usual time on Mon-
day morning, next week.
Working Bee
On Saturday the 29th October, we will be holding a working bee. The main task we will undertake is to
upgrade Nell’s garden. Nell’s garden is a memorial garden for Nell Gilbert, a past student who sadly
passed away in 2009.
Long Service Leave
In Term 4 Mrs Drysdale will be taking Long Service Leave and will return to St Francis de Sales in
Term 1 2017. Her position will be advertised and interviewed and the school community will be noti-
fied of this appointment by the end of Term 3.

A Prayer for our families
As we celebrate Family Week for this term, we take a moment to think about those who are closest to us – our family. Dear Lord, Please bless my family, friends and loved ones with your love and protect them from harm. Give them
grace to forgive, strength to overcome all the difficulties they face and keep them together when the world
tries to pull them apart. Amen.

NEW SPORTING EQUIPMENT The P&F have recently purchased two junior soccer goals which the
children have been enjoying. The P&F also purchased some netball
sun visors and drink bottle carriers for use at sporting events like
Gala Day.
TUCKSHOP ACCOUNTS All tuckshop accounts have been finalised and letters were sent home a couple of weeks ago. If you have outstanding
amounts owing, could you please finalise your account by tomorrow. Thank you, P&F
******TUCKSHOP ****** HELP NEEDED******
The P&F offer a great tuckshop for our children to enjoy each week. We have regularly asked families to help in the
tuckshop, however, our requests for help have been unheard. At last nights P&F meeting we discussed the possible
closure of the tuckshop for Term 4. Of course we would like to avoid this, however if we cannot get enough parent
help to run the tuckshop, we will have no other choice. Husbands are more than welcome to help as well. Thank you
to Anna Marks who has done an outstanding job coordinating the tuckshop so far this year, and a special thank you to
the few parents who repeatedly help each week. We again, ask for your help, please do not assume that someone else
will do it. If you have a day off work or are at home with younger children, please offer your time, you can bring your
younger children with you. All we ask is for your help, one Friday this term from 9:30am to 11:30am, or help with
baking occasionally. Please contact Anna Marks via the Facebook Page or on 0439 539 371.
Next P&F Meeting: 5:30pm – Thursday, 15th September

With our school musical is fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about costumes. The large
majority of the school is asked to arrange a western/cowboy type of costume. This would include
items such as jeans, check shirt, hat, boots and a vest if possible. Possible ideas are below. If you
have any additional items which you would be happy to let other students wear, could you please drop
them to Mr Wigan in the Year 6 classroom.
For some members of the cast, they will require a different costume. If your child is one of these
characters, they will receive a print out of what they require.
Thanks for all your support with organising this!
