Upgrading Biogas to RNG
Biogas is produced from the anaerobic digestion of organic waste matter
Remove impurities to produce RNG for use as CNG vehicle fuel or pipeline injection.
How Greenlane Systems Work
Water scrubbing based technology
1. Biogas compressed & fed to scrubber to remove impurities
4. Clean gas purified for customer delivery 3. Methane not recovered in
scrubbing stage gets “flashed off” and recovered
2. Biogas showered with water, CH4 passes through and impurities trapped in water
Greenlane System Benefits
Proven • 90+ installations • Upgrade biogas from landfills,
agricultural waste sites & WWTP
Simple & Robust • Water/recycle, no chemicals • Reliable & high availability • Removes H2S & siloxanes
High Purity RNG • > 97% biomethane • < 2% methane slip • Vehicle fuel or pipeline injection
Cost-Effective • Modular, standardized units • Energy efficient • Low capital & operating costs
Seabreeze Farm
Project Site
• Dairy farm in Delta, BC Objective
• Close the loop on the farm – reduce/recover waste Process
• Produce biogas using anaerobic digesters to break down organic waste
• Upgrade biogas to RNG using Greenlane system RNG Use
• Inject into FortisBC pipeline & on-farm energy

Consideration Recommendation
Environmental Friendly Operation
Greenlane does not use any chemicals or adsorbents in their process. We use only water in a closed loop process!
Simplicity of Operations Greenlane’s equipment is simple to use. We only require 30 minute supervision per day. The secret is in the process not on the equipment.
Variability of sources Greenlane’s robust system can adapt to various sources of organic waste.
