An updated version of the Hipath 3000 v4.0 “PNTI” (technical info) has been uploaded on SEBA.

II) Hipath 3000 v5.0 (commercial availability scheduled for Q2-2005)

The first initiatives related to the market intro of the Hipath 3000 v5.0 has been taken. Product managers in the distributor’s organisations will receive in the near future a first dossier related to this topic. Given dossier contains info on :

2. ComAssistant : a new 3th Party CTI application to be included in your portfolio (?)

HiPath ComAssistant is a communication filtering (integration with outlook) application, which enables users to manage incoming voice and e-mail communication. HiPath ComAssistant is browser-based and offers Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) features such as Click&dial, Call-Logging, lDAP Address Book search and “One-Number-Service.” Additionally, HiPath ComAssistant integrates into the mySAP environment.

“Agile” Description : This new addition to the HiPath ProCenter family is an innovative next generation Contact Centre application with new ground breaking presence functions, which takes advantage of an entire company’s knowledge and experience to increase productivity and customer satisfaction. HiPath ProCenter Agile is optimised for small and medium sized solutions and will work on all Siemens HiPath platforms including HiPath 3000. It has been designed specifically to enable sales and implementation to be carried out by Siemens global network of channel partners. Despite the unique nature of ProCenter Agile and the benefits that will accrue in winning profitable business, it is easy to implement and will work in IP networks, classic telephony networks or mixed environments.

HiPath ProCenter Agile provides enhanced agent facilities by means of a PC based application, designed to complement or replace the traditional Telephone-based functions. 6. New version available on Hipath Pro Center Compact : HPCC v2.0

In order to complete the Hipath 3000 standard integrated “universal call distribution UCD” functionality we can apply the HPCC application software for the visualisation of the traffic and performance of the UCD agents. �

The combination of visual information, real-time statistics and individually set threshold alarms gives the supervisor a whole new set of real-time tools to manage proactively rather than reactively. Potential problems can be spotted early, individual or team call taker status can be tracked and staffing decisions can be made based on realtime data. If wallboards are connected to the Supervisor workstation, they can be controlled also.

With the new marketing structure of HPPC C V2.0 the SW is totally separated from the marketable features. The marketable features itself are fully based on license keys. They can be ordered separately and independeent from each other. As of HPCC V2.0 no feature bundling applies on the marketing structure. We are now also able to provide license accounts within the new license server which can be managed by LC / distribution channel independend from the headquarter. All these mechanisms enables a LC/distribution channel to distribute HPPC C V2.0 in the “package” configs which are required by their local market.

Bundling ?? = apetizer on Hipath 3550 & HPCC v2.0 The idea is to provide an "appetizer" package based on a Hipath 3550 with a basic HPCC application pack. incl e.g. 4 agents[monitoring points] at a verry attractive price that would not "do harm" for the marketing of a HiPath 35x0 platform when both products were sold by the LC as a bundle. 4. Miscellaneous a) questions & answers

Q : how can we implement “synchronous “ announcements on Hipath 3000 (ref UCD application) ? [announcement messages should allways start at the beginning ! no “endless loop” function] A : On SEBA a “service” document has been uploaded giving info on synchronised announcements on Hipath 3000 (using “next level” announcement units) Q : Can we use the XPC v2.0 vs synchronised announcements towards the UCD application on the Hipath 3000 systems ? A : Xpressions Compact based UCD-announcements will be part of HiPath 3000 V5.0.

Q : Does the Hipath 1100 suppport “huntgroups” ? Limitations to be taken in account ? A : Extensions can be grouped in a maximum of 10 UCD-Huntgroups e.g., 780 to 789 in the Standard Numbering Plan. A UCD Hunt-Group (Uniform Call Distribution) is a group of extensions assigned to answer calls destined for a specific number that identifies the group. Internal or external calls are distributed cyclically among the members of a group or among agents. Then they are routed to the extension that has been free the longest. Calls made to a particular extension do not affect the distribution pattern. The calls that are not answered are not rerouted within the group.

Q : External voice mail units on Hipath 1100 ~ supported (is the DTMF protocol the same as on Hipath 1220 ; Hipath 3000; DTMF protocol spec available ?) A : Yes, the protocol supported is only DTMF.

Q : Can we support Internal / External paging on Hipath 1100 ? A : No, it is not supported in current version

Q : Does the Hipath 1100 suppport “automatic redial” ? A : Yes, it is used for external calls.Code #497

Q : Is the feature “account code call” supported on Hipath 1100? What is the number of account codes supported on Hipath 1100 v5.1 resp 5.2 ? (max number of digits in the account code ?) A : functionality is scheduled to become avaialable as of V5.2

Q : Call forwarding on busy : supported on Hipath 1100 ? A : It is available in current version v5.1. Code: *14+extension (act) and #14 (deact)

Q : External voice mail units on Hipath 1100? interfacing via DTMF ?) A : Yes, the protocol supported is DTMF.

Q : Do we have default answering positions on Hipath 1100 ? A : Extension 11 is configured as the default answering extension for HiPath 1120, HiPath 1130, and HiPath 1150. (Extension 101 is the default answering extension for HiPath 1190). If you want calls to ring atadditional extensions, other than the default, you can configure them as “external line attendants”. Any extension can be configured as a second line attendant. In this case it only rings if the default extension does not answer the call within a specified time (see Call Forwarding - No Answer) Q : Is there a “Phone book search” functionality on Hipath 1100 A : With an Alphanumeric Search (see Special System Telephone Functions in the Manual) you can identify and select numbers simply by entering the name assigned to the number. The Individual Speed Dialing Directory is searched first, then the System Speed Dialing Directory, and finally the names assigned to the system extensions in the Internal Numbering Plan.

Q : possibilities versus call cost factor settings on Hipath 1100 A : To show call charges in currency units you must specify a call charge factor. Pulses are multiplied by this factor. A Call Charge unit consists of a pulse sent over a line by a public exchange to provide and display call charge information according to the type of call (local, DDD, International, etc.) and other criteria determined by the carrier. Q : Migration of HG1500 cards versus related Hipath 3000 system version A : in case of a board crash the same cards variants will be changed. E.g. HiPath 1500 V2.0 with HG 1500 V2.0. When replacing a HG1500 v1.0 or HG1500 v2.0 board with a HG 1500 V3.0 board at HiPath 3000 V3.0/V4.0 the customer has to buy the licences he needs again (see sales information HG 1500 V3.0). With HiPath 3000 V5.0 the HG1500 v1.0 or HG1500 v2.0 board are no longer supported. Note : there is a possibility (special procedure) for transfering licences from a HG1500 v2.0 to a HG1500 v3.0 so you can still use the licences of the v2.0 board. Q : What about the IP licenses as by default delivered on a HG1500 v2.0 module when upgrading the system software to a higher version ? A : a HG1500 v2.0, initially delivered with 2 IP licenses, when we upgrade the Hipath 3000 to a higher version, will NOT loose it’s default granted IP licenses Q : Till recently , for a HG1500 v3.0, we also could get the 2 IP licenses for free !? Currently the software & license server no longer "grants" the 2 IP licenses ..; is this an error ? A : As announced since the M2 vs HG1500 v3.0 +/- M07/04 the HG 1500 V3.0 does not provide any default IP-user licenses. Due to problems with our new manufacturer the licenses were granted by mistake. This problem (inconsistency) has been corrected in the mean time.(See also PNTI HG1500 v3.0 on SEBA) Q : we have to know whether a signal is generated and sent to the Hipath ProCenter Agile v6.0 operator whenever an agent overstays on the phone.? A : it is possible. Have a look at the index "alarm/threshold". There are different types : on broadcaster or wallboard (for agent) or in real-time reports (for supervisor). Those alarms will inform the agent or supervisor when e.g. time in discussion reaches a defined limit. Note that agent or manager desktop licence is required for this functionnality, since the alarm appears on user PC (visually or via a sound). Q : Can we upgrade a Hipath ProCenter Compact v1.0 into the new HPCC v2.0 ? A : HiPath ProCenter Compact V2.0 will be released shortly and will cover all features of HiPath ProCenter Compact V1.0. (Therefore it was decided to start the phase out process for V1.0 early to keep the overlap of these two versions as short as possible). A (low cost) upgrade order position from V1.0 to V2.0 will be available. Former available licences like agents or supervisors on V1.0 will be transferred to V2.0 without any extra cost for the customer. Q : Can we use “repeaters” on the Hipath 3000 cordless office application & configurations? A : No ; the repeator units are only applicable in a consumer, single base station Gigaset configuration – not supported/released in combination with Cordless Office Base Stations

-optiPoint Handset v1.0 (ref optiClient 130) ~ M4 = phase-out process will be initiated 10/2004
