Dr. JayanathColombage (SriLanka), EC06-3,returned to DKIAPCSS as aretired Admiral

and former Chief of Navy. He spoke to the CSRT16-1course about “Maritime Law Enforcement,” and hepresented Director Leaf with his book entitled“Asymmetric Warfare at Sea.”

Lieutenant General (Ret) Bala NandaSharma (Nepal), SSD10-1, returned toDKI APCSS as a guest speaker in theCSRT16-1 course. He gave apresentation on “Integrating the MaoistCombatants into Our Army.”

Judge Heru Hanindyo(Indonesia), ASC14-2,returned to DKI APCSSas a guest speaker in theCSRT16-1 course. Hegave a presentation on“Indonesian Law andCounterterrorism, andhe inspired the classwith thepositive resultshe achievedwith his Fellowsproject.

Dr. Mohan Malik has contributed achapter to the NATO Defense CollegeForum Paper NATO and the Asia-Pacific. In his chapter “Geopolitics: AsiaOut of Balance?” Malik discussesperceptions of the U.S. strategic “pivot”

to the Asia-Pacific in light of China’s and Russia’sincreasing political, military and economic power in theregion. Malik also authored the article “India’sResponse to the South China Sea Verdict,” publishedby The American Interest.
