Kicking off the season, NE trav-eled to S. Asheboro to see who would start off the season with a win. Your Huskies quickly started with a 6-0 lead. After a few hiccups on both sides of the ball, they quickly started to fire on all cylinders. NE suc-cessfully started their season on the right track with a 26-6 win! Come out next week and H.O.W.L. with your Huskies as they host SWRMS! Chris Rose

Softball Opening Day didn’t go as
planned as the Huskies lost to
the Randleman Tigers 16-6.
Katie Jo Staley, Gracie Smith
and Mailey Way had 8 of the
12 combined hits for the Husk-
ies.
NE Huskies fell to the Randle-
man Tigers for the 2nd straight
night. The Tigers took the lead
early and did not let it go.
Karlie Staley went 3-4 on the
evening with 2 RBI’s.
