https://sttwaylandmi.com/ Friday, March 27, 2020 St. Therese News Dear Parents, Greetings! I am so excited to share a change in focus for next week's remote learning. Rather than sending home a packet of information, the teachers have been hard at work planning a school-wide virtual field trip! We will all be going to the San Diego Zoo via their website. We are currently putting the final touches on your travel guide. In order to limit our reliance on Facebook, everything you need will be posted to our website over the weekend. We are so so looking forward to sharing this virtual adventure with you! As I write this, we are scheduled to return to school on Tuesday, April 14. However, our governor has been indicating that it is very possible we won't be returning to the classroom for this school year. Please know that while our first choice is to be back in school, no matter what the governor decides, we will continue to support you and your children. We will just need to be increasingly creative! Whatever happens, please know we are with you in prayer and in spirit! St. Therese, pray for us! Sheryl 1 Upcoming Events 3/27 - End of 3rd Qtr. Lent is beginning, Spring is right around the corner, our students are growing and being nourished on God's word. God is Good - all the time!

Fundraising NewsBox Tops - Box Tops for Education has rolled out a new system for collecting box tops. In an effort to try to keep this program supporting our school, we have created a school account that you may use to upload your receipts. Please note: receipts must be submitted within 14 days of the date on the receipt. If you would like to use the school account, the username is [email protected], password: 430SMain. We do not know if this will support multiple users, so, please, let us know if you encounter any problems. We need to submit the whole receipt. Community Rewards - Community rewards are the easiest way to make money for your tuition account and our school. Throughout the year, we collect Box Tops, Our Family Labels, Dick's Market and Family Fare/D&W receipts, and Amerigas receipts. If sending in Family Fare/D&W receipts- PLEASE DO NOT cut the top off of the receipt, we need the entire receipt to receive credit.

Virtue of the Week: Respect

Speaking and acting according to our own and others' rights, status, and circumstances

Prayer Dear Jesus, Help me to show reverence to people who are in authority over me as I would to You. And

help me give all persons the honor they deserve as Your unique creations.

Ways to CultivateAges 6 and up: Listen and smile when asked to do something. "Yes, Mom." "Excuse me, Dad." "Yes, Sister."

Ages 10 and up: Be respectful in words and actions towards people, places and things.

Ages 12 and up: Be respectful in words and actions towards people, places, and things; avoid sarcasm.
