times more than in the “sooty century,” its production is still a hard work, but it is completely different from what it was before. Now the man is not an ant, mining the black wealth of the Earth with the power of their muscles and number of working hands. Coal mining in our time is an earthly occupation, but it is akin to exploring new planets: everything is fantastic—machines’ size, the beauty of their metal claw-hands, lifting capacity, the height of the wheels... the very outlook of these mechanisms looks like copied from sketches of a sci-fi movie. But the planet being developed by the coal companies is not Mars, not a fragment of the precious rocks flying at speeds of billions of light years in the solar system outside our own galaxy, the planet which coal companies’ workers develop is our Earth. In his new series, shot on assignment of the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Maxim Marmur saw how the new conquerors of the cosmic depths of the planet's mines are storming its heavy rock. How huge pits, visible from space, day and night are bustling with activity. He saw some giant cosmic machines mastering planet Earth for the benefit of people. And he saw the people who run the machines—alive, vibrant, strong. These people co-operate with machines, showing a new symbiosis between humanity and technology created by it. Velvet of coal dust covers the overalls and faces, draws with black the relief of their machines’ muscles. The faces of people at the coal mining are faces of heroes—tough and strong-willed—during a battle. These are faces of captains and navigators. Pioneers. Do you want to see how the earthlings will explore other planets in future? Look at those corners of the Earth where energy of our civilization is being produced. In a single year 2016 Maxim Marmur worked on SUEK assignment at more than twenty facilities of mining, preparation and transportation industry of the company in eight regions of Russia. He approached photography because of his partner, who was interested in visual and plastic arts. The key moment was the meeting with one of the Norwegian masters of photography: Morten Krogvold and his life partner Tarand. They were longtime customers of the restaurant where he used to work. For two weeks Morten starred as "Pablo Neruda" in the movie with Massimo Troisi, "Il Postino", two weeks in which he took him by the hand and enchanted him with his lectures on color and shape, talking about Kandinsky, light and composition. After a while he left his job at the restaurant and started following seminars and workshops to dedicate himself to "writing with light." In January '09, one of his shoots was selected by Italian National Geographic, and in 2010 he won the Nikon Awards. During the meeting he will introduce his project “Crossroad” born when he was booking an apartment in New York and the owner of the flat was an homosexual boy. He asked him to show him a crucial (real or unreal) “crossroad” that represented a turning point in his life: Stonewall was the answer and the resti is photography.

Concept: I was in New York to develop a work that it had to speak about the concept of CROSSROAD. A reservation on Air BnB in the apartment of a homosexual boy. A simple question: - You can indicate a place, real or imagined in New York can be considered a “crossover” important, that changed something ...- it was for me the crossroad I was looking for. The rest is photography. Stonewall is a temple, an astounding place even for the LGBT world, let alone a curious photographer heterosexual. People who visit this bar during Gay Pride week are lots and mingle with the regulars who frequent the bars to play the “neighborhood” pool tournament. The stories, the gender, the age are very different, but in common there is a great willingness to accept this diversity, to enjoy it. Photos on the walls that talk about the past, in some ways remote, are in strong contrast with flowers outdoors for the massacre that a few days before had been to Orlando. The place is not as big as the one that started the “Gay Revolution”, but retains the spirit. One of the Bartender was present in the room the night of the 27th I arrive in 1969. He calls himself “Tree Sequoia”, and 77 years ago. He loves to entertain clients with tales and every Gay Pride many televisions are queuing up to interview him. The bar opens at 14 and closes at night. I was there, the whole week before the parade, to photograph people and their stories, in the bottom to the room with the most beautiful light I’ve ever seen. Hours spent talking to the people in, to listen to their story before groped to capture it with a photo. Talk to a guy more than an hour, smoking a cigarette, drink something with him and then find out that up to one year before was a girl; meet a university professor married with children discovered by the wife watching an erotic film for homosexuals; photograph a hetero who accompanied his best friend and spend hours among families with two mothers ... and see hundreds of people passing in front of the temple to pay homage to this place, this junction, which has given the world a new direction.

Seminar with Edoardo Morina - "tratto da I AM NOT...." ? (wedding photographer)

BIO: Catania is the city where he was born in 1981 and where he studied. London is the city where he lived and studied until graduation through varied, intense and, at times, problematic work and training experiences. Later, in Spain, I started to sell my first photographs to tourists. In 2008 he opened his first studio in Catania, although photographic research remains his primary target. In 2013 Edoardo Morina studio changes skin and becomes ENKANT. All his photographic work into the marriage is based on a constant search for authors and styles, which often goes beyond the environment of the wedding itself and that, through customization, make me recognizable. During the workshop, Edoardo will deal the following issues: • From what people like to what I like • The importance of finding your own style signature • Expectations • Reinventing symbols h. 06.00 – 07.00 p.m. c/o Sala dei 400 – Palazzo del Popolo Seminar with Dolce Vita – Giordano Borghi wedding cinema

Borghi Giordano was born in Reggio Emilia in 1972. When he was 20, he received a Canon camera as a gift and it was love at first sight. Since that moment he specialized in commercial photography, working for national and international advertising agencies and clients such as Kohler Engines, Loacker, Kellogg's, Biffi, Cioconat, Cariparma, Coop, Despar, Datalogic, Midland, Pinko, Gaudi, Denny Rose and others . In 2010, thanks to the chance offered by the new Canon SLR cameras, he started taking a greater interest in video. In 2011 the first video service wedding came to light. To this day, more than 90% of the Dolcevita Wedding Cinema customers are from abroad, mainly from the UK, USA, Canada as well as countries from the Middle and Far East. “The book is a politically determined résumé.” “Tesarek uses the medium of the photo book in its best sense in order to show in a rhythm and sequence of images how disparate image worlds, media and reality intertwine and so feed the invisible machinery of globalisation. As sparse as the details of the shots are kept, the more powerful is the effect of the sequence of images.” Photonews

“If expressions such as “Weltanschauung” and “Zeitgeist” have migrated from philosophical categories into everyday language, we can only hope that the term “Zwischenzeit” may one day be associated with the atmosphere of the early decades of the 21st century . . . ”

Lecture> DDiarte> When Zé Diogo and Diamantino Jesus set up DDiArte in 1999, at that time it was a painting workshop where we brought together the best of both of us for the purposes of creation, painting on canvas. In 2003, after several experiences in the field or digital photography, we discovered the ideal means to express our creativity – Digital Photography artistically touched up.

Within the context historiography of art, the use of photography, and more specifically, touching up photographs, is nothing new. We do however aim to innovate somewhat, in terms of the themes on which our work is based. Regardless of the fact that our main source of inspiration is mythology, up-to-date themes or others that are the simple fruit of our creativity, still remain full of details, of symbols, of images, an attempt to captivate, but mainly, as an attempt to stimulate critical thought in viewers.

While some of our work ca be seen as satirical in a globalized world, yet still full of differences, other examples can be seen as purely scenic, to be contemplated at will. If some shout out against discrimination, at the same time they pay indelible homage to beauty.

An uninterrupted album that goes from street protests in Milan in the 70s to Pier Paolo Pasolini’s face, from Mafia victims to the unconscious elegance of girls from Palermo’s Cala neighborhood; from the processions to the Sicilian coast destruction, from the faces of Piersanti Mattarella, Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, to the fierce boss Leoluca Bagarella. For thirty years he photographed his land, Sicily, with raw and painful images in black and white, denouncing the mafia activities with courageous and incisive editorials for the newspaper "L'Ora" of Palermo. Travelling the east coast of Palermo, in te contesto of the project “Atlante italiano003”, she shooted places marked with clear signs of deterioration, with strong and direct images marked by a high formal coherence. But it is a degradation that, as emphasized by the very detailed captions, is just one of the many consequences of that moral and civil one. A degradation that can be
