FRIDAY Analyze Learners There are 21 students in the class, all of which are either 11 th or 12 th graders. They all come from homes in the lower or middle classes. Most were born and raised in the Appalachian culture, although I have one foreign exchange student from Germany. All have had a previous introductory level chemistry course. Most are hands-on learners, although a few prefer to learn and prove through mathematics as much as they can. They understand and apply concepts well through student- led practice. State Objectives Students will calculate the unknown concentration of the compound used in lab. Students will describe what was done in lab in their own words. Students will solve similar problems with different starting information. Students will analyze their lab by reviewing notes, reviewing their lab video, answering post-lab questions from a Glogster, answering post-lab questions from their lab handout on a class blog, and collaborating with their and other groups. Select Methods, Media, and Materials Students will work in groups. Students will calculate and solve for unknowns. Students will understand the lab holistically by watching their lab videos and working through a Glogster poster. Select Methods, Media, and Materials

Students will work in groups. Students will calculate and solve for unknowns. Students will understand the lab holistically by watching their lab videos and working through a Glogster poster. Students will answer the post-lab questions that are on their lab on a class blog on Blogger.

Utilize Media and Materials

Titration video (made by student) Glogster, and Blogger. Whiteboard and peer-led calculations.
