4/5 I Justin De Been
5/6 R Aiden Lindsay
Congratulations to our
weekly winners.
This week’s theme is:
“Consequences”
School Information Technology Policy The current school ICT Policy is up for review and I am asking for parent input into the revised policy. The policy covers the use of all technologies in the school including the use of iPads and the current practice of all children in the upper school bringing their devices from home. The current ICT Policy was discussed at last night’s staff meeting and we will continue the discussion with the aim of presenting a new policy to School Council at the November meeting. Parents can respond in writing or through conversation with me. Cricket Carnival Last week three teams of children in grades 5 and 6 represented the school at the Kanga Cricket Tournament. I was really impressed with the manner in which the children competed and the attitude they displayed in games. They were great representatives of our school.
Remembrance Day The children in grade 4/5 and grade 5/6 will be attending the Remembrance Day service at the Nathalia Memorial Gardens on November 11th from 10.30 - 11.30am. We will be making wreaths for the children to lay on the day so I ask if parents can donate flowers and foliage from their gardens to send along to school on the morning of the eleventh. Long Weekend Next Tuesday the school will be closed because of the public holiday for Melbourne Cup Day. The school is also closed the day before as a day in lieu for the early start for staff in term one. Teachers began the school year a day before the scheduled start to meet with Education Department staff. RACV Energy Breakthrough Challenge
Preparation for the RACV Challenge is well underway with the Nathalia Primary School team working
hard with Mrs Hill every week. We are grateful for the generous donation of $300 from the Nathalia
Lions Club that was presented to the school last week for the RACV Challenge.
Thanks, Chris McCallum—Principal
