History/Social Sciences 2 years required One year of U.S. history or one semester of U.S. history and one semester of civics or American government AND one year of social science.
English4 years required
Four years of college-preparatory English. No more than one year of English as a Second Language (ESL).
Mathematics3 years required (4 years recommended)
Three years including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or higher mathematics (take one each year).
Laboratory Science 2 years required One biological and one physical science.
At minimum, freshmen applicants must meet the CSU eligibility requirements, including graduation from high school or receipt of a General Education Development (GED) and completion of the following A-G courses with a "C" or better. Some majors may require more than the CSU minimum requirements.
Language other than English 2 years required Two years of the same language other than English.
Visual & Performing Arts (VPA)1 year required
One year (two semesters) from one of the following disciplines: dance, drama or theater, music, or visual art.
College Preparatory Elective 1 year required
One year in addition to the required A-G courses listed above.
Career Technical Education (CTE) can be used to meet any of the subject area requirements.
