Spring Break Missions ‘06

On March 10-18, 2006 Sixty students through the Baptist

Student Union embarked on a journey to help bring relief to hurricane Katrina

victims in New Orleans, LA.

The sixty students were split up in four different teams. Hereare the Red and White teams working together to degut a

home in the 9th ward.

Here are some images of the devastation caused by the hurricane.

This is a view into a two story home that was affected by the breaking of the

levees. You can see the water line along the wall.

Our teams worked from eight o-clock in the morning until five in the afternoon.

It was a lot of hard work.

Our team is suiting up to work for the day. The mold and fumes in the homes were

dangerous, so we had to wear protective suits.

We were able to give hope to those affected by this disaster. It was an

experience I will never forget.
