When 100 people perform the archana for each name, the total count is 100,000 (or laksha). So it is called Laksharchana Who will be performing the Laksharchana? Sumangalis performing the laksharchana is considered very auspicious. A traditional vaideeka priest will lead and guide the puja proceedings. Is there a registration fee for Shri Lalitha Sahasranaama Laksharchana ? No.However, KKSF events are fully supported by devotees. Any donation to support KKSF activities is welcome. Various categories of donation levels are listed in the event flyer. Is there any attire requirement for those who perform the Laksharchana? Traditional Indian attire (Sarees) is required. Are there any dietary guidelines to be observed on the 17th We advise consumption of Saatvik aahar during the day. After the Lakshaarchana Puja, palaharam (light meal) is recommended and will be served as Prasadam. Nava Chandi Paaraayanam/Homam What is Nava Chandi? Shri Durga Saptashati (700 verses) is chanted for chandi homam. 10 ritwiks chant the saptashati once and one ritwik will perform a homam after the chanting is complete. Who will be performing the paaraayanam/Homam? Those who have been intitated to chant Shri Durga Saptashati are eligible for the paaraayanam as ritwiks.
