The syllabus• Varies depending on type of placement• Some elements common to all placements, eg
training on:– Role of the volunteer– Volunteer expectations and obligations including
placement agreements and codes of practice– Professional boundaries and confidentiality– Issues of health and safety

• Mutually agreed between student, organisation and the course convener
• 100 hours per 10 credits
