•refers to the dissemination of expression of thought, belief or opinion through the medium of the press, without censure.

Situation in PakistanRapid growth of media after 2002.Media has multiple roles to play. Pakistan has not attained a position
that can be described as "free media".Freedom House, a respected
organization has ranked Pakistan at 61st position.
Reporters Sans Frontiers that monitors press freedom all over the world has placed Pakistan at 150th in its press freedom index.
