• To patriotic Americans the Flag (Banner) is – as it was in our forefather’s fight for independence from Great Britain – the rallying point when in battle.

• Such was also true for the Israelites (Ex. 17:15) as it is for Christians today.

Freedom From Sin• Sin – like the law – is a yoke of bondage from which

we have been freed. Cp. Rom. 7:24-8:1ff• Instead of indulging in the flesh we ought through

love serve one another. Gal. 5:13

Those Who Practice Sin Will Not Inherit The Kingdom of God (v. 21)

Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but

use it as bondslaves of God. 1) Honor all people, 2) love the brotherhood,

3) fear God, 4) honor the king.1 Peter 2:16-17
