She is survived by two daughters:Sarah and Karaline Keller, both ofMonterey, her mother, Karen (Carl)Wampler of Portage, Indiana, onebrother, Marc Nitzschke of Powell,Ohio, three step brothers: Terry(Jennifer) Wampler of Valparaiso,Michael Wampler of Melrose, Floridaand Carl J. Max was a 1962 graduate ofMedaryville High School, where heplayed basketball and ran track. Hereceived a BS in AgriculturalEconomics from Purdue University. Hewas a veteran of the US Army, servedin the National Guard and volunteeredas an Honor Flight Guardian. Max wasa member of St. James LutheranChurch, Reynolds, Indiana and theAmerican Legion Post 29, Rensselaer,Indiana and a former member of theLions Club International. He had beena former county agriculture agent forPurdue University and a ten yearmember of 4-H and enjoyed attendingcounty and Indiana state fairs.

He is survived by his wife, Aileen,one son, Bryan Ray Steele, one grand-daughter and two brothers: LonnieAllen (Carol) Steele of Carmel, Indianaand Bill Douglas Steele of Valparaiso,Indiana. He was preceded in death byone daughter, Reagan Leigh Steele.
